Founded in 2012 with the simple idea of cooking for the families of local moms diagnosed with cancer, Sparrow’s Nest has assisted more than 1,000 families in the Hudson Valley, feeding more than 4,000 individuals.
But our mission is about so much more than food. It is about supporting families whose world has been turned upside down, families who have no time to cook, and giving recipients precious time to focus on their families. Our new nest provides the needed space to expand our mission and ultimately feed over 1,000 people every week. Nestled in the Town of Beekman, our expansive 7,000-square-foot facility boasts a large commercial kitchen, providing ample room for our dedicated team and volunteers to work more efficiently. With increased storage capacity for food donations and tranquil spaces for our recipients to gather, we’re poised to serve our community more effectively than ever before. Learn More

Sparrow's Nest prepares and delivers homemade meals every Tuesday to caregivers in the area. One of Sparrow's Nest's primary goals is to help caregivers take care of their children as they fight this debilitating disease. The rewards are two-fold. The meals not only help take some of the burden away from everyday responsibilities, but also provide some financial relief. Funding is needed for the cost of food for the families.
